Elham Taheri

I have received my Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from AmirKabir University. Then I have completed my master’s degree from Tarbiat Modares University in biotechnology engineering under the supervision of Dr. Motamedian. I have been interested in cancer biology since the last year of my master’s. This encouraged me to choose my dissertation topic which I enjoyed. My master thesis was about system biology and constructing a cancer-specific model. Our aim was integrating by integrating generic human metabolic data with transcriptomic data using the TRFBA algorithm to identify genes affecting the growth of drug-resistant cancer cells. we found drugs that inhibit activation of the target genes, then we evaluated their effect on the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells experimentally.
